Dreams and Aspirations (2011 – 2014)

Funded by the Lankelly Chase Foundation, the Dreams and Aspirations project aimed to give young people in care in Devon the opportunity to use the arts to enable them to self-reflect and express their dreams and aspirations for their futures.

Young people in care & care leavers worked with professional artists to find new, creative ways to formulate and express dreams and aspirations. The young people wanted to use their creative work to help others to 'see' their dreams, in order to show themselves as 'whole people' - not just the set of issues in their files - to corporate parents, foster carers and designated teachers, so that the service will improve to better meet their needs. The project evaluation report is attached. And the final project film can be seen here https://vimeo.com/105032582
