Shifting Sounds 2025: Electronic Music Workshops
As part of Daisi’s Shifting Sounds project, which supports young people’s access to music in North Devon and Torridge, over 20 young people aged 11 to 18 joined in an exciting day of Electronic Music exploration.
Hosted at StudioKind in Barnstaple, this was a unique opportunity for aspiring young musicians and producers to immerse themselves in the world of sound, rhythm and digital expression.

Participants were free to move between sessions, giving them the opportunity to follow what interested them most. Some spent time layering beats in the production workshop, while others were drawn to the physical side of creating sounds with hardware and synths. This flexible approach meant everyone could engage at their own pace, whether they wanted to try a little of everything or focus on one area in more depth.

“I am so grateful that opportunities like this are made available in North Devon. The workshops felt so accessible and inclusive.”
Funded by Youth Music and the Devon Music Education Hub, Shifting sounds continues to explore ways of helping young people connect, create, and perform.
This workshop is part of Daisi’s commitment to delivering meaningful creative opportunities that support young people’s development, giving them the space to experiment, express themselves, and connect with others through the arts.
