Music Workshops
– Ready to Go

These Ready to Go (fixed price) music workshops use the creative process of individual musicians to offer a high-quality, hands-on experience for your students across a range of music disciplines. From world music, percussion, lyric writing and song, these workshops offer learners an opportunity to have a go, be inspired by a local musician and their practice and learn new musical skills.

Exploring the Creative Process

These workshops directly respond to the musician’s own work and thought processes, teaching children to think in different ways and connect with each other through music.

With the workshop booking, you’ll be given access to a short film about the Musician.  Daisi Bytes films introduce young people to the work of specific artists and musicians and enable you to build anticipation for the workshop, sustain the experience over a longer period of time, and share an understanding of the musician and their work with the whole school community.

Workshops are for KS1 or KS2, are adapted to the needs of each Key Stage and:

  • Cost £385 for one day of delivery, including instruments and travel

  • Are described with specific learning objectives, curriculum links, instruments and outcomes

  • Are designed for a specified number of sessions and children per day

  • Connect to one musician and their availability

Choose from the following workshops:

About our Artists

Daisi works with talented, professional artists across all art forms – from animation and environmental sculpture through to music, dance, drama, visual arts and literature – to bring high-quality, creative and exciting experiences into a broad range of settings across Devon and Torbay (and beyond), in schools and in non-formal education, youth and community settings.

Daisi artists have been carefully selected for their balance of creative practice and education experience, are DBS checked and supported by Daisi to create robust activity plans and risk assessments.  We regularly review how we work with schools to provide continued access to inclusive arts education, support mental health and wellbeing, and to encourage class cohesion.
