This project works in partnership with National Trust property Greenway enabling participants to gain a sense of life at Greenway during the First World War and to make a creative response.
Drama specialists from Doorstep Arts are working with their Senior Group to make a film with support from a professional production company. Rachel Thame is supporting Splash Holiday Play scheme young people in making a sound sculpture in response to the gardens at Greenway. Galmpton Primary school pupils are learning about their local heritage and with poet, Roselle Angwin, they are writing original poetry in response to the changing seasons at Greenway
All participants on the project are learning about the heritage of Greenway and through their activities with artists they will build confidence in their abilities to make a creative response to stories and clues from the past.
This Arts and Heritage project is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund
