Daisi works collaboratively, focusing on creative partnerships that enable arts and culture to enrich and inspire the lives, learning and futures of children and young people in our region – especially including those who are more vulnerable.

Partnerships

Daisi’s track record includes the following achievements: 
  • Lead organisation for Talking Turns a Paul Hamlyn Foundation arts-based learning grant 2022-24: supporting children’s oracy development through drama and related arts approaches across the curriculum, with a team of 11 Torbay schools, 3 cultural organisations, and 9 artists

  • National Foundation for Youth Music Fund C grant holder 2018-23:  increasing musical inclusion for more vulnerable young people across Devon and Torbay, and a Youth Music Catalyser grant holder 2023-26, focused on musical inclusion in North Devon and working with multiple partners across music, formal and non-formal education services

  • Working in partnership with The National Trust and funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop 200 Years of Tiverton, connecting local schools with local heritage, creative making, and sport  

  • Devon CEP (DCEP) is a strategic partnership working together to increase engagement in cultural education for children and young people in our local area.  Visit our DCEP page to find out more

  • Torbay Music Education Hub Strategic Partner from 2021: including designing Needs Analysis, and Inclusion Strategy. Devon and Torbay Music Education Hubs Advisory Board member from 2023

  • Daisi Bytes films 2020 onwards: a unique digital Daisi product, inviting young people on a rare virtual visit ‘behind the scenes’ into local artists’ lives and work (supported by Arts Council England Emergency Response Fund)

  • Devon County Council Doing What Matters grant holder 2019-21: Open Up Arts, arts workshops co-designed with artists and young people, supporting vulnerable young people at risk of isolation in 15 non-formal Devon settingsThis led on to an Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant  for The Art Room 2023-24, working with young carers in South Devon in partnership with Westbank charity with additional support from the Northbrook Community Trust 

  • ArtEffect from 2016: supporting young people who are experiencing mental health issues (initial project research and development funded by Devon County Council) 

  • Lead Organisation for Devon County Council arts participation commission 2013-16: Arts Wave Devon enhanced wellbeing through participatory arts 

Funders
