A new route into creative health and wellbeing for learning disabled children and young people.

Founding partners 2017:

Lifeworks Charity Ltd, Play Torbay, SPLASH, Soundart Radio, Dance in Devon, Daisi, Dartington Hall Trust and RIO (Real Ideas Organisation)

We are Branchline.

We are social care, play and arts people.

We believe all young people have the right to experience and explore creativity.

We support learning disabled young people to take part lead and progress in the arts

Daisi artists Vince Miles, Kate Green, Rachel Thame and Anne-Marie Moss have and will deliver activities chosen specifically to assist with the young people’s confidence and communication. The activities will be fun, creative and participative. They include movement and music making, learning ribbon spinning and balancing skills and sculpting from the earth and from clay.

Young people aged 6-19 from Splash holiday club (Buckfastleigh), and aged 12-25 from Lifeworks holiday club (Dartington) will be recruited to take part.  The activities will enable confidence to improve and new skills to be learned.
