TREADZ was a multi art form, action research pilot project, initiated by Daisi in 2004.  It explored the potential of the arts to increase self-esteem and confidence in young people who are excluded from school and attending Pupil Referral Units, or who are in a young offender’s unit. An evaluation of the project can be found here.

“I feel good about showing the scenes I’ve created.  It’s embarrassing if it’s not good, but you can make it good by making it funny and interesting.  You make it good by working at it.  Everyone else liked what I’ve created and it makes me feel good and proud of what I’ve done.”
