Teacher Nurture

Teacher Nurture

For specialists and novices alike, these friendly, supportive series’ of three online twilight sessions aim to ignite (or re-ignite!) the flame of inspiration and confidence for you, as a creative person and as a teacher or TA.

With a maximum of 15 participants from both primary and secondary age groups, sessions blend individual exercises with discussion and time to explore how to apply your learning to the needs and abilities of your students.

“Everyone has the potential to be creative – you just have to allow yourself to try.” – Anna Boland, artist

“I’ve learnt so much in such a short space of time … even down to paintbrushes.  Look what we’ve done – look what we did last week, like with the fan brush – I’ve even been showing my colleagues! … I could actually do my staff meeting with all those different techniques.  I could be so much more confident, and not be afraid of it.  I mean, I’m not an artist … but look, I AM an artist.

And there’s not anxiety attached to it at all.  I started in week 1 and I had so much anxiety – but the warm up activities just totally chill you out … You couldn’t NOT learn … and in a relaxed supportive environment.  And to just sit and let the day ebb away …”

“It’s using those sort of simple techniques, that make things look a million times better than I could have taught them to do myself.”
