Visual Arts Workshops
– Ready to Go

There are two ways to think about visual art workshops in your school.  We could begin with the unique thought processes that develop creativity.  Or we could begin with the practical skills, or ‘tools’ that form the foundation stones of art.  Both approaches are outlined in the National Curriculum, and all our Daisi ‘Ready to Go’  workshops include an element of each.  But where to begin … that depends on your priorities for the session!

Exploring the Creative Process

These workshops directly respond to the artists’ own work and thought processes, teaching children to think in different ways through art and connecting their thinking across different disciplines.

With the workshop booking, you’ll be given access to a short film about the artist.  Daisi Bytes films introduce young people to the work of specific artists and enable you to build anticipation for the workshop, sustain the experience over a longer period of time, and share an understanding of the artist and their work with the whole school community.

  • Cost £445 for one day of delivery, including materials and travel

  • Are described with specific learning objectives, curriculum links, materials and outcomes

About our Artists

Daisi works with talented, professional artists across all art forms – from animation and environmental sculpture through to music, dance, drama, visual arts and literature – to bring high-quality, creative and exciting experiences into a broad range of settings across Devon and Torbay (and beyond), in schools and in non-formal education, youth and community settings.

Daisi artists have been carefully selected for their balance of creative practice and education experience, are DBS checked and supported by Daisi to create robust activity plans and risk assessments.  We regularly review how we work with schools to provide continued access to inclusive arts education, support mental health and wellbeing, and to encourage class cohesion.
