How do I book a Daisi arts workshop?

If you interested in booking a workshop at your school, youth or community setting please visit the Book a Daisi Workshop page for more details and to complete a booking enquiry form.

If you are planning an arts workshop and would like some inspiration about what to do, we’d love to hear from you and are happy to discuss ideas and options with you.  Please email us or telephone on 01392 494162.

What art forms do you work with?

Daisi works with over 100 professional artists across all art forms – from dance to literature, media arts to music.  To see some examples please refer to projects and artists.

How much does it cost?

A Daisi arts workshop costs from £360 per day plus travel and materials for your artist.  Discounts may be available for eligible school bookings of more than one day (with the same artist).

If you are a school in the Teignbridge area you may be eligible for a subsidy from the helen foundation.

In order to maintain the highest quality in all our projects Daisi regularly reviews its fee structure and offer to artists to ensure that fees are in line with the regional and national norm.

Costs for one day and longer projects, shorter events, training and INSET, may vary according to individual project features, whether the project has attracted additional funding, or the individual requirements of a particular artist or setting.

Please contact Daisi if you would like advice on how to raise money to pay for our services, or examples of how other settings and learning communities have funded their projects.  Arts Council England also provide an information sheet on other sources of funding for the arts, which you can find on their website.

What is Daisi’s child protection policy?

Daisi places our Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy and Procedures above all else.  We have an NSPCC approved Policy that all staff and artists must adopt within their practice.

All artists with whom we work must have a Certificate of Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS), their own Public Liability Insurance policy, and a proven track record of experience.

Daisi artists have access to training and advice to help them continually develop and improve their work in schools and other education settings.  Daisi has an evaluation strategy which ensures that work is observed and evaluated to keep standards high.

For Daisi projects and events taking place out of school, Daisi ensures that all safeguarding measures are in place.  We take great care with our communication to parents and young people about activities, ensuring that they have clear, written information about the activity, and all participants will need to submit a signed parent or carer permission form.

Do you offer work experience placements?

Daisi works with Year 10 students every year to provide a varied and stimulating work experience placement within a busy arts office.  If you are interested in carrying out your work experience week at Daisi please contact us.

Daisi has also created placements for older young people, such as those within Higher education, as well as for graduates, and for those looking to gain professional experience at another time in their career or during a career change.

Daisi also has experience of an Apprentice position.

Daisi values volunteers and is able to offer volunteering roles (subject to availability) for people with diverse skills and experiences.
